I just got an email asking me to verify my mypoints.com account being started, but I didn’t make this account, does anyone know if something on facebook could have registered me or or something else without my knowledge?
I went in and clicked the close account button, I am hoping this doesn’t cause any spaming problems, it didnt ask me for any info, just confirmed to close the account

mypoints is a scam from what I’ve read on forums, find the button in your email window that says Mark as Spam and click it.

I haven’t been able to receive any e-mails from mypoints.com since 2/3/11. I contacted mypoints and they said that yahoo is not allowing their e-mails to be sent to my mailbox. The message that they receive is: 451 Message Temporarily deferred-(80)
Please let me know how can I solve this issue. Thank you.

Can you use coupons you get from mypoints website at a store like walmart, target, ect. or do you have to use them online? Many thanks in advance!

It all depends on how you got them. For example, if you receive them in a mail you will be also given the description on where and how you can use them.
In most cases, if you have seen it in any coupon site or in the store site, it can be usable online only.

As above, because i worked really hard to finally be able to redeem it as a reward, but recently, they removed Amazon gift certs from their rewards. it made me feel like crap man.

It may come back. The same thing happened to me once with Barnes & Noble… then a week or so later it was back. It might be a question of renewing agreements and such. Be patient.

I am thinking about redeeming my points for a walgreens gift card on mypoints.com but the description of the gift card when i go to redeem it has got me kinda nervous. I was wondering if anyone else has ever got a walgreens gift card from mypoints and if there was ever a problem with the gift card at all or anything else.

It should be fine. I used to redeem Wal-mart gift card. It worked just fine.

Not sure what you mean. Pending points are usually for buying something and may take a month to show up in your account. Basically, they are points you have earned but not yet in your account.

Is purchasing through a reputable manufacturer but going through the MyPoints site secure or can they get info

I’ve purchased with many of the companies with them in the past. However, I’m not sure if I could be at risk if I go to the website through the Mypoints site. So I’ve never gone through them to get the extra points.

When you go through their site you get points. I just wasn’t sure if they could get my credit card info and things like that.

Has anyone had any experience or know if this site is safe to use?

The way the site work is on points. You read e-mails and things and complete offers from their sponsors, then get points for each of the things you do. Then the points can be used to get gift-cards (your pay)

One of the ways to earn points is by shopping with merchants on their website, an example would be HP. If you shop with HP you get 3 points for every $ 1 you spend. You have to get to HP’s site by going through the Mypoints site, so that they know you used their link and can get credit.

My concern is that because I go through their site they may be able to get my info. You still do the shopping and purchasing through HPs site.

If you’re making a purchase on the MyPoints site and you DO NOT see a padlock at the bottom of your browser or at the end of the address bar (depending on what browser you’re using), I would not make the transaction.

By seeing that ‘lock,’ you know the site is secure and the information you submit is encrypted.

It should be safe, make sure u know what you are doing and dont give out any credit card info or SSN if you dont trust it.

If you get ‘gift cards’ for places like restaurants or such, they are anonymous. I did that a few years ago — got lots of Olive Garden gift cards from MyPoints and gave them out as gifts. It was great.

“Certificates” might be different. My certs from Omaha Steaks were addressed to me personally.

next time they email you scroll all the way down to the bottom and find where it says this

“If you wish to opt out of receiving future emails directly from Businessmagazinenetwork.com, please click here. This will not unsubscribe you from MyPoints. ”

click on it and it wont send you anymore emails! (:
